Michael R Ward Mr. Ward became President/CEO and a Director of Tidelands Oil & Gas Corporation in October of 1998. Michael is 46 years of age and was born in Corsicana, Texas in Navarro County. He is Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Tidelands Gas Corporation. Michael has more than 29 years of diversified experience as an oil and gas professional. Michael was educated in Business Management and Administration at Southwest Texas University and the University of Texas. Michael has vast experience and success in operating oil and gas companies in the United States. During the past 20 years, Michael has been associated with Century Energy Corporation where his duties and responsibilities were production and drilling superintendent. He supervised three hundred new drills and recompletions in Duval County, Texas. Michael was Vice President and part owner with Omega Minerals, Inc. During his time at Omega he operated 65 wells in 23 counties in south and west Texas, 17 wells in Seminole and Osage Counties, Oklahoma, 44 wells in Neosho and Wilson Counties, Kansas and 125 wells in Brown, Pike, Schuyler and Scott Counties, Illinois. He also spent several months in the United Kingdom and Europe arranging a public offering on the U.K. Exchange. Michael was Vice President of Omega Minerals, Inc., a corporation that was owned by Royis Ward and family. Michael was President and owner of Major Petroleum Company where he drilled, completed and produced 42 wells in south and west Texas counties. The company sold in 1987. Michael’s duties with Tidelands Oil Corporation have included supervising, actual remedial well work, workovers and economic evaluation of the corporation’s properties. The primary area of interest was in Maverick County, Texas. Michael is the Operating Manager and Vice President of Tidelands Gas Corporation. His responsibilities are all inclusive. Tidelands Gas Corporations area of activities include Dimmit, Maverick and Zavala Counties, Texas. Michael has also performed project financing analysis and consulting on refinery acquisitions for the Yemen government. Michael is currently negotiating new gas purchases and sales contracts, supervising and administering the sale of gas line connections and hook-ups. Ahmmed Karim Mr. Karim became Vice President and Director of Tidelands Oil & Gas Corporation in October of 1998. Ahmmed Karim is a graduate of Simon Fraser University. He holds a degree in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing and International Business. Ahmmed brings several years of banking and international trade experience. He has also gained valuable experience marketing for a major satellite company. An Entrepreneur by nature, Ahmmed brings a wide variety of business contacts from across North America and abroad. A team player with priceless investment capabilities, he has recently been concentrating on project financing for both the private and public sectors. He has been involved in the public markets for over seven years and has gained valuable insight in this arena. Royis Ward Royis Ward became Secretary and Director of Tidelands Oil & Gas Corporation in October of 1998. Royis Ward is an oil and gas professional. He has been engaged in the oil and gas industry since graduation from Tyler Junior College, Tyler, Texas in 1952. He was employed as a Production Superintendent and Landman for Coffield & Guthrie, Inc., a large independent oil and gas operator. He was then placed in charge of pipeline and drilling operations from 1952-1955. In 1955, he began to develop oil and gas properties for his own account as an Independent Oil and Gas operator throughout the southwest until 1962. At that time, he became President of Omega Petroleum Corporation, Shreveport, Louisiana. In 1963, he became President of Bay - Tex Development Corporation, a large real estate developer in Houston, Texas. He later returned to the field as an independent oil and gas operator, drilling in excess of 50 wells in the south Texas area. In 1968, he became the President and CEO of Omega Minerals, Inc. and was instrumental in acquiring vast oil and gas properties by drilling, development and acquisitions. In 1985, Tidelands Oil Corporation, a Texas corporation, was formed for the purpose of drilling and developing oil and gas properties in south Texas. He continues today as President of Tidelands Oil Corporation with emphasis primarily devoted to continued acquisitions of oil and gas properties. Mr. Ward is fully knowledgeable in all phases of the oil and gas industry, including drilling, development, acquisition, accounting, financing and operations. H. Allen Alderson Mr. Alderson became a full time Director and consultant in July 2000, with plans for him to become a Vice President in the near future. Mr. Alderson was President of Falco Energy Services, LLC, (FES), until he joined TIDE this year. Falco was a natural gas marketing and transportation company formed in 1996 with its headquarters located in Shreveport, Louisiana. Falco Energy Services is engaged in the marketing, transportation and processing of natural gas with emphasis on the development and operation of natural gas pipeline systems. FES has approximately 200 miles of gathering lines in Louisiana and Texas with pending transactions under contract that would add some 300 miles of pipe and two gas processing plants. FES currently owns four local distribution facilities in south Texas and is a registered utility in the state of Texas. Mr. Alderson began his career in the energy business in 1970 upon joining Falco Inc., a regional crude oil gathering and transportation company in Shreveport with activities in north Louisiana, south Arkansas and east Texas. Falco was sold to Peninsular and Orient Steam Navigation Lines of London, England in 1974. At the time, P & 0 was the largest shipping company in the world and provided the financial strength to allow P & 0 Falco to expand from a regional trucking company with 20,000 barrels per day and sales of $44-million to an international marketing and transportation company with lease purchases of 250,000 barrels per day, an equal volume of trading activities and sales of $6-billion per year. In 1975, Mr. Alderson opened the first branch office for P & 0 Falco outside of Louisiana in Denver, Colorado. He initiated all crude oil purchasing, gathering and transportation in the mid-continent and western US, achieving profitability in excess of one million dollars annually. In 1978, he returned to Shreveport and was promoted to Vice-President of Sales, the number two position in the company, reporting directly to the Chairman & CEO, Mr. Clair S. Smith, Jr. At the same time, Mr. Alderson was elected to the Board of Directors. Mr. Alderson co-founded Encore Oil Corporation in 1984. Encore was an independent crude oil and natural gas marketing company in the Ark-La-Tex area. It was subsequently sold to Enron Oil Trading & Transportation in 1989. That year, Mr. Alderson co-founded IEM, Inc. As President & CEO, he directed IEM until 1995 when he left to form Falco Energy Services with Mr. Scott Smith, President & CEO of Falco S&D. Mr. Alderson attended Louisiana Tech University and the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in finance. He is a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association (TIPRO), the Houston Energy Association and is a charter member of the Natural Energy Services Association (NESA).
